Comprehensive Warranties
GLB & GTB domestic warranty Ireland
All of our Garo GLB and GTB Charge Points are covered by a 3 year manufacturer’s Warranty (subject to terms stated below). All callouts after year 1 attract a callout fee of €100 plus VAT. This will be refunded or offset against cost of repairs if fault is manufacturers responsibility. You can register your product by calling our office in Ireland on 01 8665360. Warranty does not restart from date of repair or replacement. Your statutory rights are not affected.
The Warranty is dependent on the following conditions:
- The Charge Point is installed as advised in the installation manual by a certified Electrician
- The Electricity Supply to the Charge Point is within the operating tolerances
- The Charge Point is used only for the purpose of Charging an Electric Vehicle Socket Outlet and (Cable/Plug of Tethered versions) are kept clean and free of foreign materials
- The Charge Point has not been opened, altered, repaired or serviced by anyone other than a Garo service engineer or authorised agent
The following are examples of reasons that may result in the termination of the Warranty:
- Improper use of the Charge Point
- Modification of the Charge Point
- Improper Installation of the Charge Point
- Electrical supply to Charge Point outside of EN50160 standard
- Fault arising from the Electric Vehicle
- Faulty / spurious cable
- Electrical fault arising from installation fuse board
- Wear and tear outside of normal expected use
- Any fault not arising from faulty charger components
Warranty if Product Registered (within 14 days of installation) - 3 Year
If during year 1 of the Warranty the Charge Point is defective due to failed components or workmanship, Garo will offer a replacement or repair of the Charge Point free of Charge. Costs relating to the replacement of the Charge Point may be covered by Garo up to a maximum of €100.
Years 2 & 3 Garo offers a Return to Base Warranty with free repair or replacement at our discretion after product has been returned to us for testing and deemed faulty due to failed components. An extended warranty is available (details below) if purchased in year 1.
Removal of charger by other than a Garo service engineer or authorised agent may invalidate the warranty. Products deemed faulty from other causes will be repaired at householders cost.
Extended warranties for purchased products are available to purchase at our website or by phoning our offices.
Warranty if Product Not Registered (within 14 days of installation) – 2 Year
Registration must take place within 14 days of installation to be effective. If a product is not registered the Warranty shall begin from date of manufacture which is indicated by the products serial number.
If during year 1 of the Warranty the Charge Point is defective due to failed components or workmanship, Garo will offer a replacement or repair of the Charge Point free of Charge. Costs relating to the replacement of the Charge Point may be covered by Garo up to a maximum of €100.
Year 2 only, a 1 year Return to Base Warranty with free repair or replacement at our discretion after product has been returned to us for testing and deemed faulty due to failed components. Products deemed faulty from other causes will be repaired at householders cost
